What is micro cement?

How long does an epoxy floor last?

A high-quality, professionally installed epoxy floor can last 10-15 years or more, depending on the level of traffic and wear it is subjected to.

Is epoxy flooring slippery?

Standard epoxy can be slippery when wet. However, anti-slip additives (like aluminum oxide or quartz sand) can be mixed in to create a textured, slip-resistant surface.

Can micro cement be applied over existing tiles?

Yes, one of its main advantages is that it can be applied directly over existing ceramic or porcelain tiles, saving on costly and messy demolition.

How long does it take to install epoxy flooring?

Installation typically takes several days, depending on the area size. This includes surface preparation, primer application, multiple epoxy coats, and curing time.

What surface preparation is needed for epoxy?

The concrete must be clean, dry, and profiled, usually by mechanical grinding or shot-blasting, to ensure the epoxy can mechanically bond to it.

Do you offer decorative epoxy with flakes or metallic finishes?

Yes, decorative options are very popular. You can choose from solid colors, vinyl chip/flake systems for a terrazzo look, or metallic epoxy for a shimmering, 3D effect.

Can I change the color of micro cement after installation?

Not easily. The color is integral to the material. To change it, you would need to apply a new coating system over the top.

Is there a strong odor during epoxy installation?

Yes, epoxy products can have strong fumes. The area must be well-ventilated during application and curing, and it's best to avoid occupying the space for at least 24 hours.
